Chrome Extension Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 15, 2026

This privacy policy applies to the It's Manic Chrome browser extension.

Data Collection

The It's Manic extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. No information about you, your browsing history, or your Amazon account is ever sent to any server.

How It Works

When you visit an Amazon product page, the extension reads the product's ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) directly from that page. The ASIN and basic product details (title, price, image URL) are sent to itsmanic.com to retrieve a real-time price comparison across Walmart, Target, and Google Shopping. No personal or account data is included in that request.

No Analytics or Tracking

The extension contains no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no third-party scripts. The only external network request it makes is to the itsmanic.com price-comparison API described above. No browsing history, Amazon account details, or personal information is ever transmitted.

Permissions

The extension requests only the permissions necessary to read the current Amazon page's content in order to extract the ASIN. No other data from the page is accessed or used.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this URL. Any future version of the extension that collects data will clearly disclose what is collected and why before requesting any additional permissions.
