Chrome Extension Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 15, 2026

This privacy policy applies to the It's Manic Chrome browser extension.

Data Collection

The It's Manic extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. No information about you, your browsing history, or your Amazon account is ever sent to any server.

How It Works

When you visit an Amazon product page, the extension reads the product's ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) directly from that page. This happens entirely within your browser. The ASIN is used solely to construct an itsmanic.com URL, which opens in a new tab so you can view the product across multiple retailers.

No Analytics or Tracking

The extension contains no analytics, no tracking pixels, no cookies, and no third-party scripts. It does not communicate with any external servers on its own. The only network request it triggers is the tab you choose to open on itsmanic.com.

Permissions

The extension requests only the permissions necessary to read the current Amazon page's content in order to extract the ASIN. No other data from the page is accessed or used.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this URL. Any future version of the extension that collects data will clearly disclose what is collected and why before requesting any additional permissions.
